This course provides you with the knowledge, theory and practical ability to operate a self-propelled compactor including pre-op checks, compacting, dozing (pushing) material and various operating techniques, relocating the machine, maintenance and clean-up. This course can be personalised for all skill levels.
The training is relevant to operational roles in both civil construction and resources and infrastructure industries.
Load shifting (other than Forklift) equipment are no longer required to have a licence. However an operator must still be deemed competent. Statement of Attainment received from completing this course is suitable.
There is no licence associated with this course.
In order to participate in this course, participants are required to:
– have basic english reading and writing skills to pass the Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment (LLN)
– be agt least 16 years of age
– provide two (2) forms of ID (identification)
– wear steel capped or safety boots and appropriate clothing, hat and sunscreen
This training program is approximately 1 – 3 days depending on an individual?s prior knowledge of the industry and learning needs.
