COR

Chain of Responsibility (COR) Level 1: Empowering Frontline Staff with RAISE Training

Hi, I’m Glen, the RTO Manager at RAISE Training. At RAISE, we believe in equipping frontline workers with the tools to promote safety and compliance in the supply chain. If your role involves consigning, packing, loading, or receiving goods, understanding Chain of Responsibility (COR) laws is critical.

Our COR Level 1 Frontline Staff course is the perfect stepping stone for anyone looking to gain a nationally recognised certification and enhance their professional skills. Let’s dive into what makes this course essential for today’s workforce.

What is Chain of Responsibility (COR)?

The Chain of Responsibility is a legal framework ensuring everyone involved in the transport supply chain shares responsibility for safety. From managers to frontline staff, each role has obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) or relevant state/territory regulations.

For example, a loader who properly secures cargo plays an essential role in preventing accidents. Similarly, a scheduler who considers fatigue management when planning routes helps ensure drivers remain compliant and safe.

The COR Level 1 Frontline Staff course focuses on these vital skills, empowering you to:

  • Understand your legal responsibilities under COR laws.
  • Identify and mitigate transport risks in your daily tasks.
  • Improve workplace safety and compliance standards.

Why is COR Training Essential for Frontline Staff?

Frontline workers are often the first line of defence in maintaining transport safety. Without proper training, staff may unknowingly contribute to breaches of COR laws, leading to:

  • Heavy fines and penalties for businesses and individuals.
  • Workplace accidents and disrupted operations.
  • Damaged reputations within the industry.

Our course equips you with the knowledge to prevent these risks. It’s designed for roles such as:

  • Consignors and packers ensuring goods meet safety requirements.
  • Loaders and unloaders maintaining proper weight distribution.
  • Receivers confirming goods arrive safely and securely.

By understanding your role in the supply chain, you’ll contribute to a safer, more efficient industry.

What to Expect in the COR Level 1 Course

The course is fully online, offering a flexible and engaging learning experience. With self-paced modules, you can balance your professional commitments while progressing at your convenience.

Key Features of the Course

  4. National Recognition: Earn a certification accredited by the training.gov.au database.

Who is This Course For?

If you work in the supply chain or manage teams involved in transport activities, this course is for you. It’s particularly relevant if your role involves:
