The course is designed to meet workplace training obligations relating to Division 3, Clause 22 of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code.
This course is suitable for stores persons, administration staff, stock pickers, forklift operators and loaders.
It is intended for anyone working in the transport, warehousing, distribution and storage industries who may handle dangerous goods and/or hazardous substances.
According to the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods, anyone involved in the transportation, storage and handling of dangerous goods is required, by law, to undergo appropriate training.
In order to meet these requirements, we recommend that this Dangerous Goods Awareness course be undertaken every five (5) years.
This timeframe is in line with the requirements of the ADG Code (7th edition) and the NSW Environmental Protection Agency, the licensing authority for Dangerous Goods Driver Licences in New South Wales.
This training program is approximately 6 – 8 hours depending on an individual?s prior knowledge of the industry and learning needs.
Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment. TLID2003 Handle Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Substances.
