Chris started in the transport industry in England in 1991. Learning to drive petrol tankers on the streets of London, the old boys teaching him all their tricks of the trade. Chris worked in the chemical industry in Newcastle, Australia from 2007. With almost 30 years combined knowledge in the fuel and chemical industry behind him Chris was destined to get into training and commenced his transport training career in 2016 setting up Chris Shilling Transport Training. His passion for the industry is very apparent to all his students both in trucks and classroom situation, always keeping his students engaged with his many personal industry stories and practical knowledge.
Chris does all classes of truck licences in the Newcastle area with students travelling from Sydney and Central Coast on recommendations from their Dad’s or friends with his reputation for high standards and knowledge speaking for itself. CS Transport Training, training rooms are based in Newcastle West but also travel to accommodate groups onsite for Dangerous Goods Licence Courses, Dangerous Goods Awareness Courses, Safe Load Program Courses, Fatigue Management Courses, Chain of Responsibility Courses, Forklift Courses and many more.
